This is The Comet

Since the Comet is so old, you can feel the wood move as you go up the chain lift...a very intimidating effect.
This is The Comet, located at Hershey Park. The Comet was built in 1946, but then remodeled during the 70's. It's first drop (left picture POV, right picture shows drop) is a twisted 96 foot dive into a lake. Although it doesn't look like much, you can easily lose your hat on this ride. The Comet has hills pretty much all the way to the end of ride, making it a non-stop thrill to the end. The Comet is, however, just enough thrills. It's definitely no Mean Streak, but The Comet's fun for kids and adults alike. (Picture courtesy of www.coasters.net)
