This is a story...not just any story...it is the story of us...way way back in August of 1999 Steve wanted to start a band so he called up Andy(Lopez) and Andy (Monaco) and they got together...the first incarnation of the band...The Suburban Love Machines took shape...it was-Rob-guitar, John-bass, Steve-trombone, Andy L-tenor sax, Andy M-trumpet, Erik- french horn...so they plugged along, tried to do some covers and wrote "Bruce"...but then Erik left...and the band name changed to Gopher Broke...eventually Erik formed a rival band Gopher Cash...but we resolved our differences, and Erik came back, but we were going nowhere, so something had to change, it was John and Rob..thus was born Top Banana, which looked like this-Steve-guitar/vocals, Eve-bass, Andrew-drums, Andy-trumpet, Erik-trumpet, Andy-sax, Christine-sax, Emily-sax...as this group we played our first show in January 2000 at Edison HS, for the Band Parents Social, it was really really bad, after that we took a hiatus until May 2001, now we are back and practicing...and are ready to be rock stars...i think that's about it...
