I Went Back
He broke my heart once-
But I went back.
He made me cry-
But I went back.
I never knew what drew me to him-
But I went back.
They say boys aren't worth your tears-
But I went back.
He played with my mind-
But I went back.
He toyed with my thoughts and feelings-
But I went back.
Why do I go back you ask?
There's only one answer for that.
There's something special about this one,
Even after all he's said and done.
One True Love
Have you ever looked into his eyes,
And know he didn't care.
Did you ever lay in bed at night,
And say a little prayer.
The feeling you get inside,
When you see his charming smile.
And you know the day when he'll feel the same,
Won't be there for a while.
When he walks into the room,
You smile at his sight.
His face lies in your mind,
He's all you think about day and night.
He always seems to know,
Exactly what's on your mind.
And you begin to wonder
If the two of you will ever have that bind.
Your love for him grows stronger everyday.
You've been through the good and the bad.
And no matter what he may do or say,
Your heart will always belong to him.
You dread the day when you'll have to let him go.
You can't imagine what you'll do without him.
But in your heart you'll always know-
He is your one true love.
