Performance Scooter Rental is a driving school licensed by the State of NJ and has been in business since 1998. The owner has over 30 years of motorcycle riding experience. This school is licensed and bonded by the NJ Division of Motor Vehicles. The day of your test, we meet you at the road test site one half hour prior to your road test time. The instructor explains what the test involves and gives you time to become familiar with the operation of the scooter (i.e. brakes, throttle, and handling). We use Honda 80cc Elite scooters with automatic transmissions that are registered, insured and road test ready. If you do not have a helmet, we can provide you with a DOT approved helmet for the test. This is by no means a lesson. This would be for someone who has some motorcycle riding experience or someone who has not ridden in many years prior to taking the road test. We also offer one-hour private lessons on our scooters for those who need the experience of riding a two-wheel vehicle. The lessons are given by a NJ licensed driving instructor. If you have a road test scheduled at Miller Airpark in Ocean County, call to schedule your appointment with us. If your test is at another testing facility, we will be more than happy to re-schedule you for Miller Airpark. We will also make every attempt to meet your needs. :

About Our Driving Programs

We know that taking driving lessons can make people nervous. That is why we offer private lessons to all of our students. You can be assured that our instructors will ease your fears and give you the confidence you need.

 

This program consists of 6 hours of professional behind-the-wheel driver training. Students will learn basic driving skills to operate a motor vehicle safely, proper driving techniques, and will also be prepared for the DMV test. This 6 hour course is divided into three lessons, two hours each. We will pick students up from home, school or work at a time convenient for the students and the instructors.

Well, let me tell you one thing before I explain how we conduct our driver training program for adults. . . You've come to the right school! Performance Driver Training Schools is proud to have been awarded Value Star Certified, meaning that we have been rated very highly in customer satisfaction. Learning to drive and receiving a driver license is a milestone in one's life. The key to becoming a competent driver is having a experienced instructor. If you have an instructor who's patient, friendly, professional and good at their job, learning to drive will be a pleasant and positive experience.

Once you obtain your learner's permit from NJ DMV, we will be happy to set up your first professional driving lesson. Each lesson is a minimum 2 hours. Lessons are given daily, seven days a week. We also provide for free home, work, or school pick up and return.
