while silence takes everything by invasion,
except for the decimate beating of a heart.
Hypnotized by every beat, I continue foward
stepping in tune with it's every clatter.
Every stride taken becomes more amiss
to the pace I once called my own.
I've transposed into an automaton,
having lost that waltz I once knew so well.
I am a soul entrapped within this body,
a body which is no longer my own.
Playing this role with nerves left exposed.
A solitary tear, unaccompanied this night,
has been born and exposed once more
from the eyes which are my own.
