to laugh, to love, to work or play

But it seems to last forever

during the most disheartened day

Our time here on Earth

is often way too brief

And the ones we love the most

are always stricken with painful grief

We always seem to forget the people we love

how really important they are to us

Don't forget how much you love them

even when they complain and fuss

People are too easily taken from us

so please don't forget how much you care

Sooner or later they're going to leave
