**Meanwhile, Inside the house w/Karen and Brian**
When they broke apart Karen asked "What are trying to get at?".
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Do you think we can just kiss and make up?" Karen questioned.
"No, why?"
"That's good, because I'm not going to forgive you just yet" Karen said walking out of her room and ran downstairs leaving her cd repeating 'Back At One'.
**Downstairs**
Maryann came inside with blurred vision and irregular breathing. She saw Karen come downstairs."Hey Mar?"
"What?" she retorted.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you, I just had a lot on my mind."
"Yeah, whatever." Maryann said quietly as she went up to her room. On the way there she bumped into Brian.
"Hey Maryann, what's wrong?" he asked.
"Everything" she muttered as she pushed past him and walked into her room. Brian followed.
"What do you mean everything? Tell me what's wrong" he said as he sat next to her on the bed.
She told him everything, about the fight on the beach, and what Nick said to her.
"Gosh, that's terrible." Brian said.
"I know, maybe I should just stop falling in love all together. It's not doing any good for me anyways." Maryann sighed.
"No don't do that!" Brian said,"Nick was just worried about you, he dosen't wanna lose you to Stevin."
"And how in the world does he think I'm gonna go back to Stevin? He knows I hate him" Maryann protested.
"Yeah, but he cares about you, he really likes you, in fact, he loves-" Brian caught himself before he revealed Nick's secret. Although Nick never told him that he loved her, he could tell that he did.
"Loves what?" Maryann asked.
"Umm...loves being with you." Brian finished.
"Ok" Maryann replied questionalbly,"So what's wrong with you and Karen?"
"Well, let's just say that we did something kinda bad and Karen's mad at me for it."
"Well what did you guys do?" she asked.
"Let's try to keep it on the down low ok?"
"Ok."
Brian told Maryann everything in detail about from what happened at the night of the party to what happened when he was just in her room.
"You guys almost had sex?!" Maryann yelled.
"Yes, and don't talk so loud." Brian hissed.
"Sorry, it's just that I'm surprised to hear that. And you didn't have to tell me every detail about that night, I'm a virgin ya know."
"Oh sorry. I'll make sure I won't tell you anything that's not good for your 'virgin ears'" Brian joked.
"Very funny. Look I'm kinda tired so I'm gonna take a nap ok?" Maryann said when lying down on the bed.
"Alright, Mar. Bye." Brian said as he walked out of the room.
**The Next Morning- 6:45am**
Jamie decided to let the boys sleepover for the night. Karen woke up to the ringing of the doorbell. She walked down and opened the door.
"Stevin???" Karen questioned.
"Yes, it is me, Stevin, Maryann's boyfriend" Stevin stated.
"The last time i checked, You had Lauren in your....well..grasp!" Karen retorted.
"Really, has it been that long-" Stevin replied.
"Not long enough" Karen said punching him in the stomach.
"OWWW, YOU BITCH" Stevin yelled slapping her.
That woke Maryann up. She came down seeing Karen punching Stevin in the mouth. Stevin took his hand and rubbed his jaw.
"You are just the person I wanted to see" Stevin said grabbing Maryann's arm with his other hand.
"LEAVE HER THE HELL ALONE, YOU MOTHERFUCKING ASSHOLE!" Karen screamed.
"NO!" Stevin said running with Maryann to the car.
"Get the fuck in!" Stevin demanded.
"NO, HEEEEELP!" Maryann screamed as Stevin pushed her in the car and punched her on the shoulder.
Karen ran to the car and punched Stevin to the ground. Maryann found a way to get out of the car ran to where Karen & Stevin were.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE, CHEAT ON ME AND THINK YOU ARE GOING TO GET ME BACK!" Maryann said kicking him were the sun don't shine.
"FUCK!" Stevin squealed as he went down.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING COME BACK HERE!" Karen screamed again.
Stevin got off the ground, and got into his car and drove away.
"WE DID IT!" Karen & Maryann said in unison, They high-fived and declared "Friends Forever!"
"Let's just hope he never comes back" Karen muttered.
**Later that Morning-7:30am**
Karen was eating her breakfast when Brian walked into the diningroom.
"Why is your cheek red?" Brian asked her.
"No reason" Maryann said as she flipped a pancake onto a plate next to the stove.
Brian just sighed and said "Ok."
"MMMMMM, what is that I smell?" Nick said as he walked down the stairs.
"Pancakes" Maryann said quietly handing him a plate of 4 pancakes. She didn't make eye contact with him.
"Thanks" Nick said dissapointedly walking to the table. As he watched Maryann, he noticed a bruise forming on her shoulder. Even though she was chocolate skinned, the bruise was visible.
"Why are you guys up so early?" Karen said as she stuffed some scrambled eggs in her mouth.
"What do you mean? What are you guys doing up so early?" Brian said looking at Karen eating.
Karen quickly swallowed, and walked out the kitchen. Maryann followed her to the livingroom.
"Thanks for not saying anything about the fight!" Maryann thanked her.
"HELLO! Mar, What are friends for? And remember, I told you I would give him a piece of my mind" Karen said.
"Yeah, your right, Ha!" Maryann said walking back to the kitchen.
**Even Later That Morning-8:15am**
"What time is it? We have to get ready for college." Latoya asked as she walked to the bathroom door.
Knock-Knock
"Toya it is 8:15!" Jamie called from her room.
"Thanks" Latoya replied as she walked in the bathroom.
"You're welcome" Jamie caled back.
Aj walked into Jamie's room with a tape. "What's that?" Jamie asked.
"Nothing, where is your stereo?" He asked.
"In the closet, I need to set it, I've never used it before." Jamie said pointing to the closet door. After they set it up, Aj popped the tape into the tapeplayer. "WILD THING,YOU MAKE MY HEART SING.........
**At Stevin's House**
"Ouch!" Stevin yelped as he put rubbing alcohol on his cheek. "I gotta admit, that bitch really gave me a shiner."
When he was done, he went to his phone and dialed Cassie's number. It picked up after a few rings."Hello?"
"Hey cuz" Stevin repiled.
"Oh no....What do you want?" Cassie moaned.
"Yo chill!" Stevin said, "I just wanted to fill you in on my new plan."
"Look Stevin, I just don't wanna be apart of this anymore. IT'S WRONG!"
"Fine Cassie. Ha! Some cousin you are. I guess I'm just gonna have to stop giving you money to pay the mortage off for the new house that I bought you-"
"NO!" Cassie yelped, "Why are you doing this to me? My job at the mall isn't gonna be enough to pay for the house and you know that! Just because you're rich and I'm....not, dosen't mean that you can take advantage of me!"
"Cas? Remind me how old you are?"
"23, but-"
"But nothing! Look! I practically saved you from that hell you were living in 2 years ago! I helped you, and you've got to help me. Got it?!"
"Yeah," she sighed,"I got it."
Stevin told her the plan and after he was done, she blurted "You can't do that! It's not right! You CAN'T do that!"
"Yes I can" Stevin said hanging up the phone. Cassie just listened to the dial tone as she murmured to herself "I have to stop him..............
