Eastman Curtis

Eastman Curtis is the pastor of Destiny Church in Oklahoma. He also hosts a weekly music-video show on TBN called This Generation.

I always like him better when he speaks at events like Creation because he has lots of energy, and gets the crowd pumping while delivering a great message. Ever since I first saw him in person last year, he has become one of my most favorite speakers.  His message that morning showed us how to be an effective Christian.

Casting Crowns

Casting Crowns

I enjoyed the act from this group originating from Atlanta, GA.

Sarah Kelly

Trevor Morgan and Sarah Kelly

I found both Trevor Morgan and Sarah Kelly to be impressive, but Sarah, I can say, is hot.

Thursday’s Creation Meet

Creation Meet

This year’s Creation meet had more younger people than last year, although some people from last year’s meet were there as well. It was about 10 people strong, and I could say it was very successful.

At the fringe stage with Seventh Day Slumber

Seventh Day Slumber

This band is heavier band with the style similar to Creed and Linkin Park. Their message is focused on hope when things don’t seem to work out the way you want. Their performance was great.

Sanctus Real really knows how to rock!

Sanctus Real

Sanctus Real’s performance is great, and they performed classics from the Say it Loud CD including the title track. They also performed songs from their new album, Fight the Tide. I met this band at Festival Con Dios in New Jersey, last year. They were an amazing group to meet. I wound up spending 15 minutes with Mark Graalman, the band’s drummer.

Petra

Petra

This is a heavy Christian rock band which appeals more to the older crowd. I personally liked them because they have a unique sound which was unique to a lot of the Christian rock that is out there.

Eastman Curtis speaks to all generations!

Eastman Curtis

Eastman Curtis returns at the Fringe Stage to deliver a cool message entitled “Stirring Up Your Gifts”. It encourages us to use God’s gifts that are given to us to His glory.

A bird’s eye view of the main stage from the Lookout.

Going to the Lookout

Shortly after Eastman Curtis, I took a long and exhausting hike up a mountain. At the top of the mountain, you can see the entire festival grounds, including most camping areas. The view from the lookout is beautiful, and if you can also get a bird’s eye view of the main stage, and a fair view of the fringe stage. If you haven’t checked it out this year, I suggest checking it out next year!

Switchfoot

Switchfoot

Switchfoot is an eminent band in both the Christian and secular music scene. Their music is used heavily in the hit movie, A Walk to Remember

In a sense, I like this concert a lot, but yet I like their concert from last year’s Creation as well. They play a lot of favorites from their The Beautiful Letdown CD as well as other albums.

During the first 3 or four songs or so, I was pretty close to the stage, but there were so many people around me that there wasn’t even an inch of room to move around, and I was sweating so much, it was getting into my eyes to a point where I could barely keep my eyes open. I finally had enough, and went further back from the stage, where there was much more room to breathe.

Audio Adrenaline

Audio Adrenaline did a great job this year presenting us with favorites including Big House, Beautiful, and Ocean Floor. Their performance wasn’t quite as glamorous as at last year’s festival, but it was great.

Paul Baloche leads worship with Pastor Harry Thomas to the left.

Communion

Communion was basically what you would expect at any church – the reading of the last supper in Matthew 26 as well as taking in the body and blood of Christ. This was done along with the music performed by Paul Baloche.

Hanging out with a few friends not too far from where I camped at. Thanks for inviting me along!

Late Night By the Fire

As things wound down for the night, I was still in the mood to worship. So, I decided to go to where a group was having a campfire and singing cool music to an acoustic guitar. That perfect spot was not too far from where I camped out at in Section E, so I hung out there, and met a group of really nice people from PA, and they invited me back as well!
