Going Home

Children’s Tent stage set for Sunday Morning events.

Early on Sunday morning, I worked as a volunteer, helping to clean up from this event. The people I worked with, although we were all tired, were awesome.

Shortly after all was finished, I stayed for the Sunday morning worship service. Just before the service started, I met Pastor Harry Thomas, co-founder of Creation, and thanked him for helping create an event that changes the lives of countless people including myself. He also signed my bible. Then, Christopher Wright performed several worship songs. In addition, Father Frank Pavone spoke for the morning service. Finally, Paul Schenk lead benediction in Hebrew.

The ride home was long. I left the festival grounds at about 11:30am. Taking the “scenic route” home, I struggled to keep myself from falling asleep behind the wheel. If it wasn’t for God and my diverse mix of music to play hard and fast music, I would’ve fell asleep before I hit Harrisburg. Exhausted, I took a 15-minute break at the PA Turnpike rest stop, and as I headed to the men’s room, I saw several Creation-goers on their way home. Perked-up, I finished my 200-mile journey back home to New Jersey, and I arrived back home at about 4:15pm.

In this 4-day event, I’ve seen over two-dozen concerts, and about half-dozen speakers. Through each and every event, God’s message was heard loud and clear. I met between 40 and 100 people this year - many of them I met for the first time last year. Many of them are, or have become great friends of mine. I have experienced more fun, excitement, action, life-changing, and interaction with fellow believers than what many believers experience in a year, or even their lifetime. I have seen God work in wonderful ways before this event, through this event, and afterward. Hopefully He is doing the same for you.

Theo R. - July 4, 2004 · Revised June 21, 2005

Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:25-26
