Going Home

By Sunday morning, more than half of the people left  after a 4-day-long festival, I packed up everything back in my car, and did one more stroll on campsite C. There was plenty of water left, but many of the porta-potties were closed off, so it made for a longer wait to take a leak. By 8:15 that morning I left a better person in Christ and arrived home two hours later at a house that I could've sworn my mom had rearranged everything in the house, because I haven't been home in 5 days!

Rock & Roll Worship Circus

Despite Creation 2003 being moved to Hershey Park, it was a spectacular, life changing event. Once I arrived at my campsite on Tuesday night, I was thinking, if they had just a few more inches of rain before then, this festival could've been cancelled. I could say for sure that God wanted us for sure to have Creation at a different place this year, and that place was Hershey Park. Despite this festival being more commercialized than in years past in Agape Farm, some 5,000 people from the secular world have turned their lives over to Jesus Christ in those four nights!

Maricella, Karen, and Jennifer

It has ALWAYS been a pleasure to see people of all races, and walks of life make the ultimate decision of accepting Christ in the nearly 10 years of becoming a born-again Christian. In my walk with Christ, I believe only in the past two years I've had the TRUE Jesus experience. I used to think that being a Christian was all about going to church, reading the bible, and keeping a set of rules, and if you break just one of them, you're doomed for eternity.

I'm always blessed with the opportunity to worship God in many different places, and meet many wonderful people with whom you can share your faith and fellowship with! It's also a pleasure to watch several world-renowned musicians and speakers show their love for Christ in this event.

Carrie and me.

I was blessed and privileged to meet dozens people during the Creation Festival - whether it was a very brief meet-up, hanging out with them - for a concert or for the day, or camping nearby. They came from the Philadelphia, New York, and Washington DC areas, as well as in Canada and some from as far away as Holland. Many of those people are the most friendly, practical, and selfless people I came across. Complete strangers would offer breakfast or a marshmallow or two at a nearby campsite, or when I'm seen changing the batteries on my camera, I came across a guy willing to help, or even see people offer hugs to everyone that walks by. These are things I rarely ever see in many other places. Creation 2003 goes down as a very memorable event that each and every one that attended can reflect on for many years to come!

Free hugs anyone?

My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
