CREATION EAST 2006 A NO GO! RECENT RAINS TO BLAME.

For those that haven't heard the late-breaking news, Creation Northeast 2006 is being CANCELLED as of Monday, June 26, 2006. It is due to the heavy rains that pounded the entire Northeastern portion of the US. Even in the Philadelphia area, where I live, it has been raining on and off for the past week or so. Now, local news sources are saying that this weather is not going to let up much this week. The weather is NO BETTER in Mt. Union, PA, where the event is held.

Consequently, this led to a hard and quick decision on short notice from Creation Festival officials, including co-founder and coordinator, Pastor Harry Thomas. This is what he has to say:

Creation 2006 Northeast schedule for June 28 – July 1, 2006 has been postponed until June 27 – June 30, 2007. This difficult decision has been made after much prayer and consideration. Due to the large amounts of rain that have fallen in the past 48 hours and the additional heavy rain fall that is expected this week, festival Administration, in conjunction with local Emergency Management, have concluded that the grounds are not safe for Creation attendees.

Creation 2006 Northeast tickets will be honored at Creation 2007 Northeast. Additional information will be posted on here shortly. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause you. Be assured that this decision has been made for the safety of all attending. We appreciate your continued prayers for the Creation Festival and its staff and look forward to joining together in 2007.

I'm truly disappointed in the outcome of this year's event. I know many of you have planned this great event months in advance. Most of you have already organized everything you were about to bring. Unfortunately, this year's festival is not meant to be. This is no different from anything else in life - some things are meant to happen and some things are not. On a brighter note, there are plenty of other things to do this Summer. There is a choice of many other places and events to check out this season.

There are many things to still be thankful for:

First, there is our God, our Creator as well as Jesus Christ our Savior. There is also your health and strength and the ability to go to school or work each and every day. Also, be thankful for your family who helped shape you, and been with you through thick and thin. Next, be thankful for your friends who love you and respect you for who you are. Finally, be thankful for a home to live in, food to eat, and clothes on your back; Take the next few moments to take inventory of other things to be thankful for.

I will continue to update this site with pages of events upcoming, and if the Lord is willing, I will cover Creation Northeast 2007.

Until then, continue to check out the other great pages I have on this site, and come back on this site often. It is through the grace of God that you checked this site out, and hundreds if not thousands of people have been influenced.

You are the light of the world... Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven.
