throwaways.

file name/piece's name -- size. date of creation. general description.

twoguys.jpg. 7K. July 1999. The drawings aren't related -- I just didn't have the energy to scan them in separately. Recently, I've used a dots as either shading or facial features -- such as hints of wrinkles or brow furrows. Both are prime examples of this style...

robot.jpg. 5K. Early spring 1998. File name is somewhat of a misnomer -- "organic robot" is more like it.

dance.jpg. 6K. February 1999. A modern dancer herself, my mother took me to many performances when I was younger. Memories of particular dancers served as an inspiration, in terms of this person's face.

blink.jpg. 9K. Either late 1998 or early 1999. Cartoon with awful handwriting. Quick sketch.

stretch.jpg 4K. April 1999. Done quickly while watching a commercial about Tylenol, I think. I gave up on her left foot long ago.

zorro.jpg. 6K. April 1999. Drawn for my school's newspaper.

cooloa.jpg. 8K. Either late 1996 or early 1997. In the sixth and seventh grade, I toyed with two characters named Ani and Otto. Ani, a girl, is in the basketball uniform. Otto has the umbrella-like hair. I never gave them a punchline, a caption, or a word bubble -- I tried to develop their respective characters through drawing, until they were "ready." They never were 'ready"; this drawing is from the seventh grade, a couple months before I dropped them.

footballoa.jpg. 9K. January 1997. More Ani and Otto fun. Poor scanning quality.

scaryoa.jpg. 10K. Early 1997. The strange black and white coloration between Ani and Otto is the result of not knowing how to use my scanner. Further Ani and Otto.

love.jpg and smarmy.jpg. 5 and 4K, accordingly. May or June 1999. While the two drawings were done in different styles (the first is a bit more...gawdy...the second has a simpler line), the poses are almost exactly the same. I have a thing for one arm extended, the other bent.

hand.jpg. 6K. June 1999. I like what his shoulders, but his fingers are rather two-dimensional relative to the rest of him.

Skills King and Pre-Adolescent Skills and Pre-Adolescent Skills 2. Early 1998. These three files work as a series. The first is a dancing pre-adolescent is in a Burger King crown, the second is a braggadocio at its best, and the third is just...a follow-up to the others.
