Group Activities

• Group will keep a log book of all data related to the project
• Log book will include
  • preliminary hypothesis
  • copies of spreadsheets with current data
  • pictures of adopted tree taken on a weekly basis
  • graphs of trees with calculations of percent of tree that has changed color
  • weekly comments on activities and progress
  • charts/graphs comparing data from the different schools
  • final report on results of project
  • example of rubric
  • journal entries

Individual Students

• Students will keep a journal with personal comments and observations
• Students will keep
  • individual contribution to presentation
  • copy of rubric

Teacher

• Teacher will assign tasks for groups and students
• Arrange for observation and picture taking of tree and making of graphs
• Have student conferences about progress
• Evaluate presentation final project showing data on hypothesis of each group
