This entry sees the Tallman leading a patrol beyond the hills into the plains, where some newly-befriended Haruz live. The Patrol is Andram, Netava, Hirod, Ingam, and Sallador Sarn.
Travelling to a hovel that seems battered, they find some Nomadic Raiders have recently attacked some herders, and decide to track them. Following the tracks into a canyon, they hear sounds of fighting and go forward. The Raiders are being attacked, by Harpies. The lone survivor flees into a cave. Tallman and group decide to follow.
Inside is a timeless chamber, six archways of scuplted Marble. Four are alcoves, carved to represent ancient, fabled cities at their height of renown. Elendil's City astride the Anduin (Osgiliath), the Umbar of Numenor's day, as well as Meneltarma, and a fourth mysterious and mystic city of the Desert. At the center is a great fountain, and risen from it a great Water Elemental fighting the last Raider. This Raider withstands it's attack briefly, but is dragged into the fountain. The group approaches afterward, but only see an empty fountain.
They advance down the hall and come to the end, a room of chairs, tables, and couches carved of marble. There is a window looking into a large chamber filled with Quartz. One great Geode. From behind a pillar appears a figure from Tallman's past, his mentor the Wose Ka Dru-Tal. They speak briefly, but little is learned from him. Tallman seems to know this is not his friend, but his memory of him. Thus he knows no harm will come to them, but the memory is painful. The group leaves.
On the way back to their fort, they encounter scouts of another mercenary company. They are almost ambushed, but turn the ambush against their enemies, killing 5 with 1 escaping. These mercenaries are a Free Harondor company, and an enemy of the Stalkers. The scouts return home with a warning, and without loss. A successful patrol.
