December 11-The Continental NYC *99* *The Last Two Shows of the Millennium*

I was actually kinda scared to go to this show. Well, not scared....but afraid I might miss it. I had no clue where the continental was, let alone what time it was. So me and my lunachicks side-kick decided to still go. I definatly wouldn't want to miss a lunachicks show-and i'm soo glad that i didn't miss it. Luckly we got there early, we got the tickets from soapbox. After Bottom left the stage, the lunachicks got all there equipment ready. It was such a small cozy place--i loved it. The type of place where the band was the crowd. Next thing you know, my friend points out theo's hair. I watched her cut threw the crowd, and jump up on stage. Everybody went crazy! I had plans of giving theo this spork/ken doll that me and my friends worshiped for years. It was just this spoon, that collected everything left under our beds, including spoons, sporks, tampons, a ken doll, condoms, birth control, barbie parts, and just a bunch of meaningless crap. As i said, it was very sacred to us-and theo is like my god....so we decided to give it to her. For most of the show, i just kinda sang and jump around-but with my hand held above my head because i didn't want to ruin the spoon. I also wanted to get her attention with it-so she could hopefully take it. I knew she was looking at it too-i mean the thing was huge...plus the place was small. She would either smile at me, and kinda move back when she saw it though. So I just kept on trying to give it to her.....finaly-i grabed her attention and made all effort to have it reach her. And she took it!! It was soo awsome looking at her trying to figure out what was actually on it!! SHE HAD OUR SPOON!!! And best of all, she started to play with it.....almost like it was something sacred to her too. After that, my excitment grew-and i just went buck wild! They did their regular set-along with some old stuff like my favorite, apathetic. And just when everyone though this hour and a half set was just the best thing possible-the chicks suprized us all when they switched places. Theo drumed, Squid sang, Hellen played base, and Gina just kinda stayed there. All in all-this was just about the most AMAZING show I have ever, EVER seen!! After the show, i just kinda had this huge smile all over my face! SHE HAD THE SPOON! After talking about her and the spoon at the t-shirt stand, we turn around to find hellen just standing there. I of course asked her a million questions-and she gave me her autograph. Hellen is just about one of the coolist, nicest people I have ever met! And that was my experence from the last show of the millennium.

October 19-Irving plaza NYC *99* *Go-Kart across America tour*

As soon as i found out that the lunachicks were playing again-i fliped. Not only are they an excellent band, but they put on one of the most amazing show's i've ever seen. Theres something about them that just gets your adrenaline going, and makes you wanna sream on the top of your lungs for the purpose of being there and seeing them. So anyways...me and my friend got all dolled up for the show. Fake eyelashes, pink/blue krimpy hair, red lipstick, blue eyeshadow, and of course lots of glitter and tube socks! We were soo excited for the show, we didn't know what to do w/our selves on the way there-but we managed, right up to the door where we entered. There wasn't much people there at all, which in a way was good. You didn't haffta strugle just to see them. But anyways, we walked pass the tee-shirt stand to see a suprizing apperance by the one and only gina, selling shirts before the show. I didn't know it was her at first...i actually though it was some chick trying to look like her-but when i got up closer, i realized it was her and said hey-your my favorite lunachick!

So after the first two opening bands, i got my camera ready to take as many pictures as possible. The sight of gina and squid *plus there new drummer* setting up and getting ready didn't help my excitment. Then, out of nowhere-the lights dimmed...and all of the girls came out. Gina and squid with matching pleather cheerleading outfits-on gina's it read "luna", and on squids it read "chicks". And Theos' outfit was exceptional....she had on this black pleather dress, complete with mysterious dis-colored straps everywhere. I dont remmber the line up..but they did play alot from luxury problem. Which was all cool. Theo even put on a comedy act or two on stage, pretending to be a memmber of the misfits and then making fun of stuck up girls and squid for loosing her gerbil. All in all-it was amazing. She kept on smiling at me--but i was probably halucinating, so thats ok. All in all--it was just a fucking great, great show. And i cant wait to see them again!

July 18-Asbury Park NJ *99* *Warped Tour*

So yeah....over the summer i got my first taste of the most beautiful girls in the busniess, the lunachicks. I've heard there stuff before, and quiet frankly-loved every bit of it. When i found out that they were gonna be at warped tour, i fliped. Theres' nothing i like more than seeing a live chick band.....theres just soo much energy that goes on-and all in all, it makes me go crazy. So, warped tour 99'-asbury park in nj....one fucking hot day. I spent it all basicaly crowd surfing just so that i wouldn't have to be on my feet. As i longly awaited the whole day for the chicks themselves-i found a group of kids all from my school. We all mingled for a while and headed over to where the lunachicks were to play. I knew where they were gonna be because i saw gina's blue tips blowing in her face while she tuned her gitar before they played. Plus, not to mention the mascot of there set-the pink furry amp. Me and a bunch of my friends **all girls** decided, "hell---the guys had all day to mosh and show that they were tuff...basicaly prove nothing, we want to prove nothing too!!! WE WANNA START A CHICK PITT!!!" As soon as we heard the scream of theo as she and the band went crazy-that was key for us to loose our shit and go even more crazy. Prove that we were strong girls with fucking attitude. **well, hey-i can think that right?!** All in all--i had such a fun time either singing along...screaming....or throwing my fists in the air that it seemed to fly by. I couldn't belive how much fun i had-in such a short time. It was simple unbleviable....thus marked my everlasting LUST and LOVE for the band. Out of all the shows i have ever, ever seen--The lunachicks have got to top it all off. *bravo girls***
