Home Style Chili

Ingredients:

In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, brown ground beef and onion; drain. Add celery, bell peppers, tomatoes with their liquid, tomato paste, garlic, salt, chili powder, cumin, cayenne and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 hour. Add kidney beans; simmer until thoroughly heated. Slow-cooker method: Brown ground beef and onion in skillet; drain. Combine beef-onion mixture, celery, bell peppers, tomatoes with their liquid, tomato paste, garlic, salt, chili powder, cumin, cayenne, pepper and kidney beans in slow cooker. Cover and cook on High setting for 3 to 4 hours.
