Heat Race - No Heat Race Tonight

There was no heat racing tonight as the infield was filled with tonight's fan activities. Games, contests, give-aways, and a chance for the fans & drivers to meet. Here Jeff Gravatt, interviews some of the team banner contest winners. In the end, everyone was a winner.

Feature Race - 20 Laps, 2nd Place

We were fast in practice, setting the fastest lap @14.689 and looked forward to a good finish. Bryan started well down in the pack in 13th place. But a fast racecar and some great driving allowed him to run through the pack and by lap 13 he was in 2nd place. The leader Frank Polimeda had a full straight lead on the field by this time and to watch Bryan run him down was great. We fell a lap or two short of another win, but came away with a good 2nd place finish and the fastest race lap with a 14.671.

Frank Polimeda of Fort Lee raced to his third win of the year in the Legend Cars 20-lapper. The point leader took command with an inside lane pass near halfway and was then chased to the finish by Brick’s Bryan Gardella. Ronnie Dunstan of Allentown, Pa., Bayville’s Jim Tomaino and Ricky Losh of Joppa, Md. were third through fifth.
