Final Fantasy I

Well, here we are, the very start of the future of fantastic Final Fantasy adventures... We all know that Final Fantasy I didn't have the sweetest graphics or the best game control, but, it did have an addictive game play and was quite fun. I mean, who doesn't enjoy going around and beating the tar out of monsters while only taking a single step! Pretty neat concept. Without Final Fantasy though, what would RPG's be like today?
The main problem with Final Fantasy I was that it didn't take full advantage of the SNES when it was finally redone. Had it done so, it probably wouldn't have changed the game drastically, but we would have seen a few improvements.

Graphics(3-5): The graphics area is probably one of the weakest parts of the game, however, taking into consideration that it was made about 13 years ago, it may have been quite intriguing back in those days...
Sound(3-5): Not much to talk about here, most Final Fantasy soundtracks are exceptional, and I guess this one was too.
Play Control (3-5): Play control was alright in Final Fantasy I, not as tight as it should be, but that isn't a big factor.
Fun (3-5): Although some people may find Final Fantasy I the original quite boring, yet it can be fun at times. We have to keep in mind what time period we're talking about, so we have to be generous.
Overall Rating: 3-5.
