Castle Dracula Model

CASTLE DRACULA MODEL

This section is dedicated to showing the progress of the Castle Dracula model. I started construction in May of 2003 and I hope to be complete sometime in the end of January. This is my 3rd dark ride model I have built to date. Check back from time to time to see the progress.

Problem: the main structure isn’t wide enough. Solution: move the south wall about 2”.

Bridge in the courtyard is going in.

The stucco façade has been applied to the front wall.

The front of the ride is looking more finished. From time to time like to take extreme close ups photos of the model. It sometimes makes the model look like the real thing.

Just finished putting the last of the crown on the main structure.

This photo was taken from the dungeons loading station looking into the exit channel for the boat ride.

The top/crown is going on the office over the stores on the far west end of the Castle.

One entire year has gone by since I started this model. I have added lights to the windows, started to build courtyard, and started to install the meatl railings on the front of the ride.

The Castle Dracula Model is on display at the George F. Boyer Museum located at 3907 Pacific Ave in Wildwood.
