The hole in the wall grows bigger and more of the ride disappears. Both photos below were taken on February 11th 2009.

A few days go by without any more progress. High winds and bad weather might have slowed things down. February 16th 2009 workers continue to remove more of the south wall.

Once again the works slow down and start removing the stucco from around the shops in the station. The weekend of February 21st 2009 a lot more stucco was removed from all sides of the ride. All eight photos below were taken on February 22nd 2009.

February 25th 2009 the roof over the Bottomless Mine Shaft was completely removed and more of the south wall is removed.
|
|
March 10th 2009 some time has passed since the last update. The work being done to the front of the nugget was all done under tarps for obvious reasons. The tarps came down on March 9th to reveal the entire west side of the nugget removed right down to the studs.
