Golden Nugget Mine Ride

Wooden nickels were used to promote the ride

(The caption reads) Hunt's Pier this coming season will now stick out into the ocean another 160 feet. The new extension, which is 100 feet by 160 feet, will probably be completed within the next two weeks. Snowdrifts and cold weather slowed the workmen down a couple of days, but the work continues. The far end of the pier will feature a new ride, which will be announced in a few weeks. Just before the snow moved into this area, the new 1960 Mercedes-Benz type gas powered Hot Rod arrived. These cars are the "FRIST" in the country. Two models are on display in the lobbies of the Shore and Casino Theaters.
