Welcome to the Review Page!

This review is about Magic Knight Rayearth. I saw this Anime (or at least the first part of it), with a few friends of mine. It's about three teenagers Hikaru Shido, Umi Ryuzake, and Fu Houji and how they are summoned into the fantastic world of Cephillo. Cephillo being a world where magic exists and Evil rules supreme. The Animation is Excellent and the story line is a little predictable so I can only give it an 8 out of 10, but still a must see!

My next review is on Vampire Princess Miyu. The Animation on the OAV's is outstanding! The storyline isn't always as obvious as in some Anime, but it adds to the mystery of the whole series. I give it a 9 out of 10.

This review is about My Nieghbor Totoro. This was a cool movie mainly becuse it strayed from the usual blood and violence of a lot of Anime. Totoro was more along the lines of a children's cartoon video, but is still a must see as an Anime. 7.5 out of 10.

This review was requested. The Samurai Pizza Cats! This show has an obvious Japanese origin. The plot involves Speedy, Polly, and Guido (who are robotic, 30 pound, talking cats, of course) fighting the Big Cheese and his usual band of evildoers. Not a new concept, but I'll give it a 6 out of 10.

Next I'll review Battle Angel Alita. Alita being a robot who was found in a junkyard sometime in the future. The Anime was well drawn and the plot was quite interesting. I liked the show but there was a lot of blood and such, then again maybe that's what made it interesting. I give this Anime an 9 out of 10.

This review is on Curse of the Undead Yoma. This is a story about a young ronin who's childhood friend turns evil and goes on a bloody rampage. This anime was cool! The fights were blood filled and the story was excellent, but you had to watch it twice to get it all.

This review is on Street Fighter 2 the animated movie. I loved this movie mainly because the unanimated movie with Jean Claude Van Damme sucked. I'll give this anime a 6 out ten for the edited and two marks higher for the unedited one.

This review is on the movie Akira. This Anime has some of the best animation I've seen in a long time. It would be perfect if the people didn't look quite so "Anime-like". The storyline took me a hour to figure out but it all came together after a while. A must see! 9.5 out of 10!!

This review is on Ninja Scroll and will be written by my friend Marie.
Even though I didn't see the entire movie yet, I still have a few things to say about it. Despite the fact that Ninja Scroll won a major award at a Japan film festival, I'm still going to grill it. OK, basically Ninja Scroll is a story about a ninja adventure in feudal Japan, with a good mix of Japanese folklore and legend worked into it. The animation was excellant, the story was good, but there is quite a bit of sick stuff and gratuitous violence, but that's expected. It wasn't terribly shocking or anything. The characters are interesting, 3 heros and 8 main bad guys who are more demon than human. Lots of fighting, blood, hack and slash, you know the anime routine. But...It was still one helluva movie. I give Ninja Scroll a 8.5 out of a possible 10. (^.^)/~
We see flesh melt. We see screaming horses on fire. We see ghoulish humans staggering in circles with countless shards of glass imbedded in their naked bodies. We see all this (and oh, so much more) through the eyes of 10-year-old Gen, miraculously spared from the blunt of the blast's fury. Gen runs "home" just in time to see his father, brother and sister roasted alive under the wreckage of their house, and to witness his very pregnant mother engulfed in a cackling fit of delirium. Somehow, Gen manages to push on, always remembering his father's simple allegories comparing the tenacity of humans to that of wheat. 10 out of 10(Must See!!!!)
