On Love's Golden Pond
Like golden ripples that disturb the water's surface
Love moves a soul
Through many different metamorphesis;
In tranquil seas
I met my love
A long, long time ago
And upon Love's Golden Pond
I met my heart's true desire
It was such an endearing experience
Of which the heart grows fond
And through the ages it has changed my soul forever
Like the moon affects the ebbing tides
My life has been moved like the variable seasons.
My life has been changed by this gentle sea
But my soul feels free like the dove
And with the wings of this turtle dove
My soul takes flight on golden amber skies above
To golden seasons in the sun
Which enchant my days and nights
With much splendid joy and endless fun
Which are now engraved forever
Within the fabric of my reveries!
