During the Ottoman Empire
The first İstanbul League was called "The Constantinople Football League" and started in
1904-1905 season.
The CFL put up a shield as an award. The competition would be played for ten years.
The shield would have all the winners of this ten years' names written on a silver plate.
The shield would be awarded to the team which won the cup most at the end of the ten years.

Galatasaray SK won the league shield with three championships.
İn 1914-15, there were two separate leagues, one being organized by Fenerbahçe SK and the
other by Galatasaray SK.

Constantinople Championship League:
Fenerbahçe SK, Türk İdman Ocağı, Darüşşafaka, Hilal, Darülmuallimin
Since they were two separate leagues, there were two İstanbul champions that year.
The champion teams arranged somewhat a super cup game.
They played each other on Feb 11,1916 for the İstanbul Football League Championship
at İttihatspor stadium and Fenerbahçe won 3-1.

Topuz Hikmet is the person who designed the Fenerbahce logo.
