Promotions/Relegations

The promotions and Relegations rules are decided according to the berths of each province and will be different from one province to another. That's why all conditions will be explained below with the names of the provinces they will be used for.

General Rules
1 - Group winners will be promoted to 3. Lig.
2 - Bottom two in each group will be relegated to the provincial leagues.
3 - Clubs rejecting their right to participate in 2010-2011 will not be accepted to 2011-2012 leagues, even if these clubs qualify at the end of this season.

The Rules according to the provincial berths and the number of clubs representing them
When there are more than one club participating for a province, the clubs are called according to their finishing order. Club-1 highest, Club-2 second, Club-3 third,and Club-4 the lowest for each province.

İzmir - 5 berths, represented by 5 clubs

İzmir clubs are split into 3-team and 2-team groups.
3-team group play as if they had 3 berths, represented by 3 clubs and 2-team group plays as if they had 2 berths, represented by 2 clubs.
The promotions to BAL will be handled as the overall evaluation of these both groups.
Example. One group promoted the winner and play-off for the runner up. The other group promotes the winner and the runner-up. Then top three in İzmir league gets promoted and the fourth plays the play-off.

İstanbul - 12 berths, represented by 12 clubs

İstanbul clubs are split into three 4-team groups. They play as if their berth is 4, represented by 4 clubs.
The promotions to BAL will be handled as the overall evaluation of these three groups.
