Fair Play
UEFA observers rate the teams in all UEFA competitions, including the national games and women and youth games. The grades given to the teams are accumulated by UEFA for each country. At the end of the year, the accumulated points are divided by the number of games each country played to get a Fair Play Ratio for each country. Then, the countries are ranked according to these ratios. UEFA Fair Play rankings cover the period from June 1st through May 31st each year.
UEFA honours the countries with good FP ratios by giving out three UEFA Cup entries to them. One entry goes to the country with best FP rating. Other countries with FP rating 8.000 or higher goes into a draw and two more countries get the other entries. The draw was on June 4th.
