Students Working Effectively Excel Together

The National Conference
From June 26 to July 1, many New Jersey students traveled westward to Derby, Kansas for the annual N.A.S.C. Conference. Each day included not only classes on the "Magic of Leadership" but also fun activities that allowed each student to apply the knowledge gained and meet people from all over the country. Although the temperature was well above one hundred every day, the 1800 students who attended the conference did not let that get in the way while enjoying such activities as dances, a zoo trip, and a day at Wichita State University. Overall, the conference was a great experience for everyone.

Leadership Training Conference

From August 16-19, and 20-23, L.T.C. was held at the Fairview Lakes YMCA Camp in North Jersey. Although each session lasted only four days, delegates gained a firm understanding of concepts ranging from communication and speaking with ease to understanding conflicts and leading their peers. Both sessions were great successes - thank you to the staff and the delegates who participated. For those interested in applying for a junior counselor position, please remember to send in the applications!!!!
