Welcome to NEUROWEB.

The website dedicated to neurologists and their practices. I would like to use this site to discuss different coding questions and billing practices.

I need your help!! Any input will be appreciated. Please send any billing/coding tips, questions or comments to the e-mail address at the bottom of the page.
Have any ideas for building-up a practice? Send them to me, and I will post them on the new PRACTICE BUILDERS page
QUESTION OF THE WEEK

QUESTION:

Can anybody give me an idea how to use the code 95957 (Digital analysis of EEG) correctly? Is this an add on Code?

ANSWER

Saw you coding question of the week... Code 95957 describes digital analysis of an EEG, when performed with the services described in codes 95816, 95819 or 95954. The services provided when 95957 are reported are performed without the patient being present and are only reported with the specialized procedures described in codes 95816, 95819 or 95954. Code 95957 is not a stand alone service.

Does anyone have any useful methods to decrease practice overhead? If so, let me know, and I will publish it on the Cost Cutters page, so more of us can use it.
Please refer to the HCFA page for the entire Neurologic single system examination. Hopefully, you will find this an easy reference. It can be printed onto one page.

Please feel free to e-mail me either at my POL address (click on the little mailbox) or at the NEUROWEB address.

Thanks,
Scott

729.5: This is the code for "extremity pain." I find this code useful for patients with pain of unclear etiology. I use it for EMGs when no diagnosis can be made. The study will usually be reimbursed.
Please let me know what you think of NEUROWEB. You can sign the guestbook, or e-mail me at the address at the bottom, or at my POL address by clicking on the little mailbox. Any feedback, both positive and negative, will be appreciated.
