I am a Karaoke Freak. Except for a black hole in my life during the 80's, when someone I knew didn't like to hear me sing, I have been singing all my life. I have always loved to sing. In grade school I was in the church choir, the only eighth grader to be in the choir since my voice had not changed yet. In high school I had a rock band, "The Kicks". Our organist is now my brother-in-law who has a dental practice. Togeather we wrote a song we called "Take The Time". Our bass guitarist is still a muscian/songwriter. He wrote a song for "Boston"! Our lead guitarist and lead singer (brothers), I hear own a farm market. Our drummer I don't know what became of him. I continued with another band while I was in the Navy. With that I managed to go to all the officers parties, entertaining ambassadors, heads of state, Shieks, and the troops. Even met Haile Selassie,the late Emperor of Ethiopia. I actually did a spot on national TV..... In Trinidad... Oh Yes!!! I'm also in the movie "Apollo 13. I'm in the middle of that typhoon the astronauts look down on in the Indian Ocean. And then there was the period of time I was in a Barbershop Chorus. The harmony was fun, but the music selection was limited and we did not perform often enough to quench my singing muscles. Then along came Karaoke. | |
| . I met my wife JEANNE IRL in a Karaoke bar and she loves to listen to me sing. My sister Cathy introduced us. At first we exchanged email, then phone calls, and then,,,,,. So far we have three duets. "OUR SONG" is " "Keeper Of The Stars"! ! ! We got married on Valentines Day, 2001, two years after our first date on Valentines Day 1999. |
