Our Disney-Moon

Well your married. What are you gonna do now??
We're going to Disney World!!!

DAY 1:
We left for Walt Disney World on August 30th but not before seeing our parents. We were on our way to see Bob's parents but spotted his mom at a flea market so we stopped to say good bye to her; then off we went to Janine's parents. We ran into the house scaring Janine's mother half to death, they enjoyed seeing us before we left though. And on our merry way we went!

We drove [PIC] to Florida to save some money and we enjoyed the trip. We took I-95 all the way down and we stopped in Georgia 5 minutes out of Florida and stayed the night.

DAY 2:
Well we entered Florida [PIC] and were way ahead of schedule so we made an unscheduled stop at Central Florida's Zoological Park [PIC] it was neat. We stayed for about an hour and enjoyed the animals then on our way to Disney we went. We stayed at Disney's All Star Music Resort it's one of the lowest priced hotels there but very cool, and who cared we were there to see Disney! We got to Disney checked in brought our bags up [PIC] and wasted no time first stop MGM Studio's! We knew we weren’t gonna be totally amazed with MGM [PIC] which is why we went here for our half day it was pretty cool though. We collapsed at our hotel room that night.

DAY 3:
We set out for Disney's new Animal Kingdom Park which was by far our favorite [PIC] and most enjoyable part of the trip! Spending the entire day here [PIC] we saw everything there was to see [PIC] and got to meet our first characters! [PIC] There is a DinoLand [PIC], a Safari ride, the Tree of Life which is huge and cool it has animals carved throughout the entire tree and roots. An awesome place to eat and also our favorite place to eat there was the Rainforest Cafe in the Animal Kingdom Park. The Rainforest Cafe [PIC] smulates a rainforest inside with monkeys jabbering and hanging from the ceilings and actual water trickling down and the FOOD!! The Food was amazing! In the evening we headed out to Downtown Disney's Pleasure Island - WooHoo! This place was awesome! They had 3 concerts going on different stages! We visited the Wildhorse Saloon [PIC], The Adventure Club, and our favorite The Comedy Warehouse. At the warehouse they improve off of a phone call made to the audience and it’s never the same twice, hysterical laughter there! We definitely suggest going there if you make your way to Pleasure Island.

DAY 4:
We went to Epcot. We walked the entire World and Future World. While we were half way around the world it down poured at Japan, but only for about 20 minutes then it was sunny again. Epcot was enjoyable, but wasn't our highlight of the trip. Our Favorite Countries were Italy, and Canada [PIC]. While in Epcot we visited the Living Seas (we're animal people) we loved it here; and ate there at The Coral Reef Restaurant. We were seated right next to a window to the aquarium (it was very cool!) and we swear every time a fish, sea turtle [PIC] or small shark swam by they gave us a dirty look! lil' smile. We were too tired to stay for the IllumiNations that evening though, next time!

DAY 5:
Our last day at Disney. The traditional stop when you visit DisneyMagic Kingdom! [PIC] But first we went to Discovery Island by way of ferry right outside of Magic Kingdom. Discovery Island was cool, sweet and relaxing; it’s kinda like a zoo! We strolled around the island and stopped to see the reptile show and were ready to run when they broke out the snakes! ICK! They have lost of birds and some other animals too. We took the ferry back to the mainland, which by the way is a very relaxing ride, and started the Magic. Seeing most every ride and show as well as meeting the characters! I meet Mickey and Eeyore! My vacation couldn't have been complete without them. Bob's favorite is Piglet [PIC], can't leave without a picture of any of them! [PIC in toontown]. We also meet Minnie, Goofy, Pooh, Tigger and the ugly monkey guy from Lion King both at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom's Camp Minnie-Mickey Character Greeting Pavilions.

That evening I had to force Bob to go to the Polynesian Luau at the Polynesian Resort, which by the way he loved! It was great; we ate Hawaiian style foods and were given a fantastic hula presentation. You know those guys who toss fire? They did it! And sadly we retreated back to our room only to wakeup the next morning to leave Disney.

DAY 6:
Well were up, moving and stalling to stay at our Disney Resort a little longer. Coming to Florida we were here to do more then just Disney! We left Disney and headed for Gator Land [PIC], by the way our camera ate our entire roll of film we took here. This place was cool they've got alligators, crocodiles and snakes! We went to the top of a tower above the breeding grounds (said to have over 300 gators in it) and when we looked to the left side we only say about 20. Looking down there must have been a good 100 gators; needless to say we got off the tower mighty quick! We ate gator! Nugget style and barbecue style, it tasted like fishy chicken but good, we liked the nuggets better. Next we headed off to Sea World [PIC] we found it and got a room for the night. We got to relax and Janine went swimming.

DAY 7:
Sea World was awesome! We saw some cool fish got to pet stingrays and dolphins [PIC], a highlight for Janine! We saw the sweetest baby dolphin in the nursery and of course the dolphin shows [PIC] and Shamo [PIC]. We also saw sea lions, seals, [PIC] cool manatees and the terror underseas. We stayed here all day and were exhausted when it was time to leave. But that didn't stop us from stopping to visit "Rippleys Believe It or Not" [PIC]in Orlando. At "Rippleys Beleive It or Not" we were amazed, grossed out and stumped [PIC]. There's some really weird stuff there. After we left Rippleys we headed for Universal Studios [PIC] and got a hotel near by

DAY 8:
At Universal Studios. We saw all the cool stuff [PIC] but missed ET the line was way too long. Bob got to pose with the guys from Small Soldiers and pretended he was one [PIC]! We enjoyed Twister (very real), Jaws [PIC], Back to the Future and Kongfrontation the most. By this time we were really annoyed with crowds and ready to kill!! After we left Universal we headed for Daytona Beach, Janine wanted to go to the Daytona Harley to get her dad (he has a Harley) a Harley tee shirt. We got to Daytona when it was dark so it was a little confusing driving around. We found a hotel right on the beach that actually had an opening and we got a room with an ocean view it was beautiful.

DAY 9:
We found the Harley, but it was closed, it was Labor Day weekend we didn't even think about it. So we embarked on our journey home. We stopped for the night in Virginia.

DAY 10:
On our last official day of our honeymoon, we stopped at an army base in Maryland so Bob could see a museum there. Bob was running around "O, look at this" "Ooo, check that out!" Janine was trailing behind her excited husband trying her hardest to be interested 'lil smile. After Bob used up an entire roll of film on old military tanks from many countries and several wars, we headed home. We got off the New Jersey Turnpike and went straight to see Bob's parents then Janine's then finally our new home together! We ended our vacation with a nice long nap!

We're planning on returning to Disney World for our one year anniversary and hope to do some stuff we couldn't this time like fan boat rides!

If you ever go to Disney or the Orlando area, the best time to go is between the end of August through September. Schools have just started not many parents will take their kids out of school the first few weeks, the crowds and lines were humanly capable! Although it’s during the hurricane season we had very little problems with rain. Also check out our Disney links.
