I wish that I could fly away
Escape this broken world
Away from pain
Away from sadness
To where the clouds are born
And when I reach this happy land,
I know I will be free
Free from pain
Free from sadness
It will be but a dim memory
When I am free, I will be
Happy as never before
For freedom is a lovely thing
And I know few who want it more

Time
Sitting on a narrow bench
Thinking about the past
Hoping that a day will come
When time won't move so fast

Love
Love is like music
Slow or fast, like an unsteady tempo in the soul.
Love is beautiful
Love is kind, gentle
Love is different from everything you have ever heard or seen
Love is like music
It leaves you with inner peace
Love is beautiful
Love is challenging
It is a road without an end
Love can be eternally yours if you only know the harmony
Melody is never enough,
For love is like music
Today
Yesterday I was thinking
About the day before
Today I was wondering
About yesterday
Then I realized
What triggered my thoughts
I closed my eyes
Your face appeared
And I thought
Only of you

The Abandoned Shore
A man went wandering away
To an abandoned shore
He walked along a silent beach
'Til he could walk no more
He sat among the grassy dunes
Of this abandoned shore
And then he sang a weary tune
And thought and thought some more
He cried while thinking of his past
Spend on abandoned shores
His wife then came to take him home
To think and think some more
And so he closed his eyes and sought
Escape from all his fears
Remove the shadows from his thought
For his remaining years

The Muse
My muse
Was not a daughter
Of a famous Greek god
My muse was different
My muse
Was my best friend
Always inspirational
Not even female
My muse was male
But then I lost him
He went away
And I find myself
Unable to write

Chocolate
Waiting in the winter
Looking at the sky
The stars come out
To play hide and seek
With the clouds
Snow begins to fall
But still you wait
And then-
A knock on the door-
He arrives
You walk to the fire
Hand in hand
To sip hot chocolate
And wait
Riding out the storm
