Places to Visit in Tokyo and Vicinity
1. Hama Rikyu

2. The Imperial Palace. Marunouchi, Tokyo. Open: New Year's
Day and Dec. 23rd only.
3. International Aquarium. World Import art Building,
10th Floor, Sunshine City, 3-1-3 Higashi Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Tel: (03) 3989 3466,
Admission: Adults %1,600, children (age 4-12) %800. Open: Mon-Sat, 10am-6pm, Sun
10am-6.30pm. (Ikebukro Station)
4. Meiji Jingu Shrine. 1-1 Kamizonocho,
Yoyoi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Tel: (03) 3379 5511. Admission: Free. Open: Daily,
Sunrise-Sunset (until 4.30pm in winter). (Harajuku station on the JR or subway
Meiji-Jinju-Mae station)
5. The Observatory. 3-1-3 Higashi Ikebukuro, Tokyo.

10am-8.30pm. (Ikebukro station)
6. Sensoji Temple. 2-3-1 Asakusa, Taito-ku,
Tokyo. Tel: (03) 3842 0181 Admission: Free. Open: 24-hours. (Asakusa
station)
7. Shinjuku Gyoen. 1-1 Chiyoda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Tel: (03) 3350
0151 Admission: %200. Open: Tues- Thurs & Sat- Sun, 9am-4pm. (Shinjuku
Gyoenmae Sation on the Marunouch line or Shinjuku Station south Exit.) Also, you
can find their Tokyo Metropolitan Tower. You can visit the top floor and see all
Tokyo (the same height as Tokyo Tower) for free. This tower is just in front of
Shinjuku Park.
8. Tokyo Disneyland., 5-53-1 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Tel:
(03) 3797 5666 . Admission: Adults %4,800, students %4,400, children (age 4-11)
%3,300. Open: Mon-Fri, 9/10am-8/9pm & Sat-Sun, 9am-10pm. (Maehama station in
Keyo line or Musashino line).
9. Tokyo Tower. 4-2 Shiba Koen, Minato-ku,

Open: Daily, 9am-7/8pm. (Shiba Koen station on (Toei Mita line)
10. Ueno
Zoo., Uenu Park, Taito-ku, Tokyo. Tel: (03) 3828 5171 Admission: Adults %500,
children (age 12-14) %200. Open: Tue-Sun, 9.30am-4.30pm. (Ueno Station). You can
also take boat in the lake outside the Zoo. It costs 600 yen for one hour for
ordinary boat ant 600 yen for half an hour for pedal one.
11. Aquarium in
(Omori Kaigan Station at Kehin Kyouku line from Shinagawa). There you can find a
very nice sea aquarium and very nice shows for Dolphen and (Sea Dogs). It costs
900 yen for one person. It closes at 5pm. The place outside the aquarium also is
a very nice place and for free.
12. Kasai Rinkai Koen in Kasai Rinkai Koen
Station on the Musashino line or Keiyo line ) This is a big garden in front of
the sea. From there also you can have a sea trip for only 600 yen for one
hour.
13. Yokohama Sea Paradise in Yokohama (Hakkei Jima Station , special
line from Shin Sugita Station on the Kehin Tohoko line. (Very nice place but
Aquarium their is about 2400 yen for one person.
14. A very nice place below
the Tokyo Suspended bridge. This place is surrounded by sea water from three
sides and the place looks very nice. >From Shin Kiba station (on Musashino
line) take private line 10 minutes to Tokyo Teleport station (the last station).
Also, you will find there Tokyo Big Sight, the place for holding big fairs and
contains also very nice places. This place is 15 minutes walking from Tokyo
Teleport Station (the station before it in the special line).
