BIOGRAPHY
EMETH was formed back in October 1997, by some people who weren't completely happy with
the bands they played in. We started rehearsing with an incredible motivation and
dedication which quickly led to some releases (THE CALL OF SIREN & DISCIPLE) and playing live shows as much as possible.
We received both positive and negative comments from the underground scene on these
releases and the gigs we did. Continuous efforts resulted in another release (BREATHING THE UNCLEAN) and allowed the band
to create a true D.I.Y. demo-distribution & band contacts in several European, American, Asian,... countries.
The music on these first releases has nothing to do with the music EMETH is playing now, as
in those days it was a kinda deathcore orientated music.
In may 2000 some members wanted the music to evolve into a chaotic specter
of sludge-wallowing malevolence and technical musicianship.
Due to these musical differences the band parted ways with some of it's original members.
Since march 2001, we've found a steady formation with people who are known for
their brutal and unrelenting death metal style. Although the name EMETH was kept a new band
was born with this line-up change, it's sound has changed into a ethereal chaotic specter. At this moment the band is writing new material for their
up coming release sometimes round july-august.
