I purchased an American Bulldog from Mr. and Mrs. Thompson on 5/30/03. I can't even describe the wonderful experience I had. Not only did they let me stop by to see my dog, but I was able to meet their family and their other dogs. Marian responds to e-mails and telephone calls promptly. On the day of pick up Marian and Rob supplied me with a contract and a list of things to follow once we get the dog home. She updated pictures and the progress of the dogs weekly.
I have nothing but nice things to say about the Thompson's and their way of doing business. I purchased exactly what they told me I would; a beautiful breed. Caia is stocky, well tempered, a family protector, and a lover. I only hope I get the opportunity to one day be able to purchase another Johnson breed American Bulldog from the Thompson's.

I would like to write and say we are totally crazy over our Bulldog. This is the first bully we have owned and we are so pleased. They are so playful, yet loving and loyal to thier owners. The Thompsons have been super people to deal with. They constantly kept us updated through Pearls pregnancy with pictures and notes. They continue now, even though Skye is 6 months old to keep in touch. I truly feel I could contact them 5 years down the road and they would still be there with advice or whatever.Our dog is beautiful and I would certainly recommend the Thompsons to anyone looking for a good bully with a wonderful temperment.They are truly great bulldog breeders and if I ever got another bully I would go nowhere else but to the Thompsons.

I am an owner of a six-month-old female American bulldog named Chelsea from American Bulldogs of Southern New Jersey. Chelsea is literally the dog I dreamt of for years. I could not ask for anything more temperament-wise, health-wise, and aesthetics-wise, so on and so forth. But at the same time, I’d like to add that this breed is definitely not for everyone. Acquiring any pet is hard work but this particular breed requires a tremendous amount of work on the owner’s part and hence they are not for people who are looking for a pet with a lighthearted approach. Chelsea is fiercely independent, focused and ready to take charge and to certain people these qualities may be interpreted in different ways. The last five months have been exhausting but incredibly fun and I look forward to many more years of the same but without as much sweat. If you are the right candidate, you will definitely be well rewarded for all your hard work by choosing this breed and you will also find Rob and Marian eager to help you whenever you need them every step of the way.

We are proud to say that we are first time American Bulldog owners and never imagined how incredible this experience would be! Our beautiful puppy named Diesel is the most amazing pet either of us have ever had, and we are so happy that we have him! We searched high and low to find a reputable breeder that would be meet our needs, and our minds were made up as soon as we met the Thompsons. They were not only knowledgable about the breed, but extremely kind and helpful. They allowed us to meet their own American Bulldogs, which proved to us that Diesel would be bred from well tempered dogs which were loving with children. Our 6 month old pup is incredibly muscular with eye catching features, getting compliments everywhere we go. We still call upon Marian and Rob in times of need or with questions about Diesel, and they are always willing to help! I would recommend the Thompsons of Southern New Jersey to anyone interested in getting one of these awesome dogs, and will always be greatful to them!

When we decided to get an American Bulldog there was a lot we needed to know about the breed. We began doing some research on our own, buth there was still so much we didn't know. Marian and Rob spent an amazing amount of time with us and shared their extensive knowledge about the breed and answered all our questions. With their knowledge of the breed and high standards in producing quality AB's, it was easy to make a decision in choosing them as a breeder. A few weeks later we met our newest family member "Block" and we were so excited to be taking him to his new home.
Even after we took our pup home, they were always available and happy to help us with questions and concerns we had about our pup. It was so reassuring to know that they really cared about their dogs and the breed that much. We are so happy and thankful to have found such great breeders and caring people. Block is truly a great dog! Wherever we take Block, people always stop to comment on what a beautiful dog he is and are always amazed by his great temperament. If anyone is looking for a quality AB, I would highly recommend going to see Marian and Rob, we are so glad we did.
