Old-fashioned Pecan Pie

1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
3 eggs
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 cup melted butter (1/2 a stick)
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, salt and vanilla extract; mix until well blended. Add melted butter and chopped pecans, mix well. Pour mixture into unbaked pastry shell. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
