Stupid humor, mixed with Pointless actions =Allmine.com

This picture is of a club in Newark that no longer exists. I guess you can say it's my tribute to an old friend. The Pipeline held a lot of good memories for a lot of people. The former owner, Emilio, along with Anthony Trance (R.I.P.), the promoter, and the bouncers, Kevin and Junior, made every Thursday between 1995 and 1998 a memorable one. I made a lot of friends here, and though I might not talk to them very much anymore, I still consider them family. Even people who didn't like going inside the building had fun. There was so much to do there, I used to bring people down there just to look at the artwork on the outside. If you think the front looks crazy, you should have seen the sides, and back of the building. This is where I saw some of the "phattest" pieces I've ever seen in my life. Now this building is nothing but a pile of rubble. Thanks to the city of Newark, there will be another vacant fenced in lot just taking up space...

I would like to take a little more time and space to pay tribute to another good friend, and one of "New Jersey's Hardest," Mark McCorkle.(AKA Uncle Mark, AKA Mark Knox) It's said that only the good die young, and this proved true with Mark. To the outside world, Mark may have been a bad seed, but to those that knew him, he was truely one of a kind. Whenever my old band (Dirtnap) would play, Mark was the person in the crowd who started things up. He had the type of presence that would make people around him go nuts. All it took was for Uncle Mark to start moving, and the dance floor would errupt into pure mayhem. I haven't talked to him in a long time, (as with many of my friends from the pipeline) but I still considered him family. Every time he would come up with a new song with his band (PointSixtyOne), he'd be on the phone playng tapes of recorded practices, or just reading me the lyrics. It's really a shame that a lot of his stuff went unheard...

  • In case anyone didn't know, my father passed away in August, and I really haven't been the same since. I just want to have that explained, because some of my pages might explore the darker more controversial side of stupidity. At least until I could get my head screwed back on straight.
