Takemusu Aiki Dojo - New Jersey is an Aikido Club founded in September of 1991, by Vince Salvatore Sensei, 5th dan, one of the longest foreign students to study directly under the supervision of Morihiro Saito Shihan, 9th dan.
Salvatore Sensei has defined our purpose as one which provides sound and vigorous training to all people who express a sincere interest in learning this unique form of conflict resolution and personal development. Training is held in a friendly and relaxed environment. Students may attend as many classes as they wish, with two per week being the minimum number suggested for the retention of presented material.
At Takemusu Aiki Dojo - New Jersey, fees are reasonable and there are no hidden costs, long term memberships or high pressured sales.
The dojo is easily accessible from Philadelphia, South Jersey and neighboring areas. Directions and maps listed on our Directions page. (See below).
Keiko is Iwama Style based, with training conducted in the traditional manner. Taijutsu, (empty-hand arts), Aiki-ken, (wooden sword), and Aiki-jo, (wooden staff), are taught under the guidance and direction of Takemusu Aiki Dojo -New Jersey's Yudansha Staff. Takemusu Aiki Dojo is supervised by Vince Salvatore Sensei, 5th dan, (Reno Aikido), and is a member of the California Aikido Association, under Division 1 Director, Pat Henricks Sensei, 6th dan.
