Wildwood New Jersey
Sea Gypsy - Bed and Breakfast

If you are looking for the excitement and adventure of Wildwood, as well as serenity and a good night’s sleep, come stay with us at The Sea Gypsy.

Our circa 1900 Queen Anne home is located on a neighborhood street, in a primary historic district, just blocks away from the beach, boardwalk, amusement parks, and walking mall.

There are numerous delightful taverns, restaurants and specialty shops just minutes away. Bring the entire family for seaside fun, adventure, and comfort.

Wildwood is located on Five-Mile-Beach which is the southernmost barrier island on the Jersey Coast. The sandy beaches, salt marshes, and dense forests are a vital stop in the Atlantic Flyway. Our coast is a treasure for bird watchers and dolphin/whale spotters.

For late fall or early spring beachcombers, we are open year - round, and offer special off season rates.

Get Inspired at The Sea Gypsy . . .

I am fevered with the sunset,
I am fretful with the bay,
For the wander-thirst is on me
And my soul is in Cathay.

There’s a schooner in the offing,
With her topsails shot with fire,
And my heart has gone aboard her
For the Islands of Desire.

I must forth again tomorrow!
With the sunset I must be
Hull down on the trail of rapture
In the wonder of the sea.

- Richard Hovey

For generations, poets have traveled the seashore and have become inspired by the excitement, mystery and serenity of the sea. The Sea Gypsy’s theme honors those who have taken words from the waves, the salt air, and the shorelines, and have given us the joys of the earth’s oceans through literature.

At The Sea Gypsy you can find your own inspiration. Contemplate life’s puzzles and promises while you relax in a bubbling, scented Jacuzzi. Spend early mornings sipping coffee and enjoying conversations with fellow travelers. Daydream as you rock in the gentle ocean breeze in a hammock on the verandah.

We offer full breakfasts each morning of your stay. Our breakfasts feature fruit, coffee/tea and an entree.
