Now don't get me wrong and take this information wrong;just because your child is a little hyper it does not mean he/she has ADHD (all children can be hyper).

For lasting improvement, numerous clinicians recommend that medications should be used along with treatments that aid in these other areas. There are no quick cures. Many experts believe that the most significant, long-lasting gains appear when medication is combined with behavioral therapy, emotional counseling, and practical support. Some studies suggest that the combination of medicine and therapy may be more effective than drugs alone. NIMH is conducting a large study to check this. Socially Blind:
5 boys are playing at recess, doing things they shouldn't. Suddenly, the teacher comes around the corner. Four of the boys stop almost immediately, while the ADHD child "just keeps going".
