The monthly update on retirement is, still on hold. The company has yet to extend the cashout option past December 31, so that would be my last day no matter what. The interest rate for the last quarter of the year will not be known until September 10, so there’s still a chance that September 29 will be my last day. Soooo, I have 35 or 100 working days left (if cashout is not extended). The picnic was held in cool, but still nice weather at Al & Betty Schneider’s Neptune home once again. Only the kids and Kevin took the plunge in the pool, but the food and drinks were great as usual. If only our meetings were as well attended as the picnic......... Speaking to Kevin at the picnic, he said that we have 29 pre-registered entrants for Pocono! Looks like it’ll be a sellout this year. Last year at this time we had 8 pre-registers, with about 35-40 showing up the day of event. After hearing this news, I decided that I will forego driving the Stinger this year, and help with the track duties. We need the help! Please consider driving up for the day to help us out. If you need a ride, let me know. As most of you know, Pocono is our largest fund-raiser in the history of the club, and makes possible some of the many benefits you get by being a Bayshore member. The response to my request for ads last month was underwhelming to say the least. So, next month I’ll start culling other local newsletters for things you may be interested in. Will be at the meeting this month, so see you there, or cruising the information highway. Later...............
