Anyone may attend. But to participate in the event you must be 18 years old or older. All drivers shall possess a valid driver's license. All drivers under 18 years of age are required to have notarized evidence of a parent or guardian's consent to compete or they must obtain their signature on an entry and waiver form in the presence of a time trial official. This is a low pressure fun event, providing you with the opportunity to improve your driving skills, run some practice laps, or just have fun driving a real race track.
All four wheel vehicles are permitted to enter. The vehicle must have passed the technical inspection process in order to participate in the event. The technical inspection chairman will determine any exceptions to the technical inspection rules.
Roll bars are REQUIRED in all open vehicles, (convertibles and roadsters). Roll bars are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in any vehicle, but they are not manditory in closed vehicles, (coupes and sedans).
Each driver has the responsibility of having his vehicle inspected before hand by a compitant mechcanic. We run a simple straight forward technical inspection the morning of the event, as a last minute saftey check. But, this requires that all drivers arrive on time, and present their vehiles ready for inspection. Please be on time.
The event is run, rain or shine. Also, driving on a wet or damp track will only further your learning experience. A vehicle handles quite differently on a wet road.
Here is the order of the day.
- Upon arrival you will unpack your car, be sure to remove ALL LOOSE OBJECTS.
- Present your car for tech inspection.
- Attend the drivers meeting, where a review of the rules and regulations, flags and their meaning, and general do's and dont's are covered.
- The track session will be 4 sessions of 25 minutes track time each.
- The track session is set up in four groups.
- Groups are determined by both driver experience and vehicle potential.
- If time permits there will be tours of the track, where passengers are allowed.
