Poetry/Song/Quotes Collection

The following is one of my favourite poems. It is very inspiring piece of work by Robert Frost.

The Woods

Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening
________________________________________
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

- Robert Frost

"Every new dawn brings a new promise."

Here are some quotes by James Dean, the original rebel :

"Dream as if you'll live forever,
Live as if you'll die today."

"Trust and belief are two prime considerations.
You must not allow yourself to be opinionated.
You must say, 'Wait. Let me see.'
And above all, you must be honest with yourself."

"When an actor plays a scene exactly the way a
director orders, it isn t acting.
It s following instructions.
Anyone with the physical qualifications can do that.
So the director s task is just that to direct, to point the way.
Then the actor takes over.
And he must be allowed the space,
the freedom to express himself in the role.
Without that space, an actor is no more than an
unthinking robot with a chest-full of push-buttons."

"How can you measure acting in inches?!?"
(when told he was too short to be an actor)
James Dean's actual height was 5'8"
