Spirit, what it is and why I need it.

Now, you must have realized that when you die and are brought back to life you lose most of your spirit points. Your spirit points determine how long your remain in the lands upon death, and also, how much spirit the raiser has to expend to bring you back to life.

Okay, now you're confused, right? Well, in order for a cleric to bring someone back from the dead using their first raise spell, Raise Dead, they must spend an amount of their spirit equal to 75% of the target's MAXIMUM spirit points. Therefore you need a spirit of 9 or higher (max 10) to raise anyone in the lands.

Generally it's best to have a spirit of 10. For that you need to have an aura of 95 or over. The game rounds that number, up or down depending on the second, and give you spirit accordingly. An aura of 95 or over will give you 10 spirit points. With 10, you can raise anyone.

Your race determines how quickly your character will regain her spirit. Below is a list in the order of which race regains spirit the quickest.

  1. Dwarves
  2. Halfings
  3. Giantmen
  4. Sylvankind
  5. Humans
  6. Half-Elves
  7. Elves
  8. Dark Elves
