Welcome to Our online photo album following the construction of a straw bale house in New England. The house is our first and last attempt at building our own home. Brian is doing most of the building himself. The house is four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two workshops, and two great rooms. The upstairs great room will include the kitchen, dining room, living area, and music room. The down stair great room will be the family room, aka kids play area. The Center of the house is a stone chimeny attached to a wood burning stove, and around the chimeny is a "U" shaped stair case. We wanted a spiral staircase but cost was not fesiable.
