What exactly is The Mac Orphanage? It's another Mac website, by another Mac Addict, devoted to all things Macintosh! I was never much interested in computers, but since discovering this Insanely Great Machine my life has changed! I started with a new PowerMac 7600 but soon felt I had missed something during the 68k years. I proceeded to collect and tinker with some of those older Macs. I knew I did not have room to keep them all, yet I hated to part with them. I got the idea that I would give them up for adoption to friends and family with the stipulation that they be returned to me when the user could afford to move on to a newer Mac. I only asked that I be allowed to provide technical help and maintenance.
I have had other hobbies in my life, but none as fun or rewarding. The Mac is a remarkable machine that has given me the power to do things beyond my wildest dreams. There are many other Mac shrines on the web. My motivation was to create this website not just as a tribute to the best computer ever made, but as a convenience to my friends who own Macs both old and new, and to help them experience the Joy of Computing that is Macintosh. Presently included on these pages are links to Mac Software, and my Photography page. Future plans include links to other Mac resources, and a showcase for your Mac success stories.
