POKeMON Yellow revisited!
Well, a few months ago I gave you a very brief overview
of POKeMON Yellow. Now, I've played a big part of the game, and I'll
give you the scoop on what's in it. Unfourtunately, I knly know a little
Katakana/Hiragana, so I can't read some things...
-
As you can guess from the name, Pikachu is your
main POKeMON. He follows you around in the game, and if you turn
around and talk to him, a little box will come up and show you what
his mood it. If you've been fighting with him a lot, he'll be happy.
How cute!
-
Pikachu is a lot strong in this one. He gets attacks
that he didn't get in Red/Blue, like at Level 6 he gets Tail Whip,
Level 26 he gets some Electric Attack. He also seems to be stronger
overall.
-
Gary (Your rival) Uses Eevee as his main POKeMON!
Wow!
-
Because you've got Pikachu, it's a good idea to
get Buttfree, so you can beat Brock. Yellow makes it easy on you,
though... Butterfree gets Confusion at level 10!
-
The POKeMON in grassy areas are much stronger. In
Viridian Forest, for example, there are POKeMON up to 9th level!
-
Abra isn't in the spot that he was in the original
game, at least as best as I can tell. I did find him between the
first underground tunnel and Vermilion, though.
-
Clefairy is easier to get... he's wandering around
in all of Mt. Moon, not a specific spot.
-
You can get Bulbasaur, Charmander, AND Squirtle!
(see next three points)
-
Bulbasaur is in Cerulean. You can find him in the
house next to the POKeCENTER. There an Oddish, a Sandshrew, and
a woman with a bulbasaur sitting next to her. Talk to her, and choose
the top choice both times, and she's give you Bulbasaur. For some
reason, she didn't ask me questions until I had come back from S.S.
Anne to get the Bike. I don't know exactly what the trigger for
her questioning is.
-
You can get Charmander by beating Nugget Bridge
in Cerulean, and then going northeast of the end of the bridge.
A man stands there. Answer the top choice to his question, and Charmander
is yours! Check out is new picture! It's very cute!
-
Squirtle can be gotten from Officer Jenny in Vermilion
after beating Surge. If you can't find her, you must be blind...
^_^
That's as far as I've gotten! I'll add more once I play farther!
