FRONTIER RALLY INSTRUCTION AND THE IMPERFECT CANINE

Frontier Rally Instruction and The Imperfect Canine WELCOME! to the web site for Frontier Rally Classes and Seminars and for The Imperfect Canine handmade camp curtains and dog bed covers.

AKC Rally obedience seminars and classes. We travel throughout Northern New England to conduct AKC Rally seminars for interested dog and handler teams. We also conduct private and group competition AKC Rally and Novice AKC Obedience periodically.

WHO ARE WE?

My name is Diane Richardson and I've been teaching pet dog obedience since 1989. I also have provided private dog, puppy and whelping/litter care advise since 1996. I've been involved with Rottweilers since 1985 and have been raising them since 1991. I have shown in conformation on and off since the late 1980's with both our Rottweilers and Shiba Inu.

In 2003 I finally had time to venture into the competition obedience world and began training our newest family member towards that goal. This would be Bea who is my demo dog. Bea's official name is U-CD B Mine vd Frolikind zu Frontier CD, RE, TD, CGC, TT

Between her first and second birthday Bea earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate, AKC Companion Dog title and UKC Companion Dog title.

Between her second and third birthdays Bea earned her USTTA Temperament Test certificate, AKC Rally Novice title (in 3 straight trials), AKC Rally Advanced title (in 3 straight trials), AKC Rally Excellent title (in 3 straight trials and with a 2nd and 4th place win), passed her AKC Tracking certification, Finished 2005 tied for 16th place in the American Rottweiler Club's AKC Rally Excellent ranking, AND earned her first AKC Rally Advanced Excellent leg with two fourth place wins. (A RAE title requires 10 double Q legs where the dog qualifies in both Advanced and Excellent classes at the same trial)

In 2006, after her 3rd birthday, she also earned another RAE leg with a 4th place win, Her AKC Tracking Dog title (in the pouring rain)another RAE leg with a first place win and in July she earned a fourth RAE leg and won 1st place from a class of 50 Advanced dogs and 2nd place from a class of 41 Excellent dogs. Our buying a house put an end to trials in 2006 but she still loves to work!
As of the 3rd quarter 2006, Bea was ranked (By the American Rottweiler Club) as the #9 Rally advanced Rottweiler and #3 rally excellent Rottweiler.

Bea's daughter Annie (Frontier Komotion RN), earned her first AKC Rally Novice leg at 6 months old, her second leg at 7 months old and her third leg at 9 months old finishing her AKC Rally Novice title in 3 straight trials.

In late 2005 I conducted our first Rally seminar and in early 2006 I taught our first competition Rally class. Just a few of my students who went on to obtain titles after attending our seminar or class are:

Gary and his Rough Collie, Sarah
who earned their AKC Rally Novice title (first time competing in anything other than Conformation) in 3 straight trials

Linda and her Border terrier, Samantha who earned their AKC Rally Novice, Advanced and Excellent titles in very short order. Linda is an experienced obedience competitor but had never tried rally before.

Anne and her Rough Collie, Thunder who earned two legs on their AKC Rally Novice title at their only two trials they entered this year. Neither had ever competed in any dog events before.

Art and his Australian Shepherd, Tugboat who earned their AKC Rally Novice title, AKC Companion Dog title and earned 2 legs on their ASCA Companion Dog title. Art is an experienced obedience competitor who had taken a multi year hiatus from the competition world and had never tried rally before

Sandy and her Wire Haired Daschund, Gunter who earned their AKC Rally Novice title easily between Sandy's incredibly busy work schedule and having never competed in any dog events before.

Hand made Camp or RV Curtains
Totally functional basic style curtains made from solid or patterned fabric. Amatuer made, so they are not totally perfect but entirely suitable for camps or RVs.
Made to fit your windows. Average price for the pair shown (fit a 38” X 64” window) is $40.00. Plus shipping. However price varies depending upon the fabric type and size. You may also provide your own fabric and we can create your curtains for just labor and shipping costs.

Dog bed or blanket covers

The Imperfect Canine's "Totally imperfect dog blanket covers"
Can be used to cover an existing dog bed, fill with your own blanket or pillows or fold over and use as is.
Amatuer, hand made. Not perfect sewing, not always straight edges but very pretty and VERY serviceable and the dogs love them! Very popular with my doggie friends.
