Restless Shadows

by: Donald A. MacCord

Restless were the shadows past,
Their whispers in my ears did last.
"Children, Children, to our memory be just,
Let not our names fall away to dust."

Restless were the shadows past,
Their whispers in my ears did last.
"From you the gift of life we did not hide.
We lived, we loved, we cried and died."

Restless were the shadows past,
Their whispers in my ears did last.
"Children, Children, to our memory be just,
In you we place our rememberance in trust."
