Choosing a Photographer
You will probably spend a considerable amount of money for the photographer or videographer. A skilled phototographer will provide pictures for years of memories and is worth the cost. You will be contracting with them for an hourly rate which can range from $75 - $250+ per hour. Here are some suggestions for choosing the right photographer.
1. Some companies have several photographers working for them. Find out exactly "who" will be the photographer at your wedding. Ask to meet with them before making a decision.
2. Ask to see actual photos taken by the photographer.
3. Do they charge by the hour with a minimum of hours they will work? Do they have special rates for a specific number of hours? What do they charge for over-time and will they be available to stay later that day if you wan't them to?
4. Interview at least two or three photographers to determine who best fits your needs. Choose a photographer that you feel comfortable with. You will be working closely with them the day of your wedding. Things will be moving very quickly that day and you will be thankful that you chose someone that puts you both at ease.
5. Be sure to get a signed contract from the photographer. Review it carefully prior to signing.
