In the odyssey of your life, you are always on your way to something. Like a traveler who is continually pursuing a better life, you constantly strive for what lies just beyond the glimpsed horizon. Your life mingles the joy of discovery with the restlessness of always searching for something. Often you seem to others as a stranger whose identity comes from a distant source.

Has God changed? Have ye wandered so far away? Know ye not that, as He has given, "If ye will be my children, I will be thy God"? and "Though ye wander far away, if ye will but call I will hear"? 281-41

When opportunities are presented, it is the entity’s own will force that must be exercised—that which has separated it or has made it equal to the creative influences in the higher spiritual forces to make for itself that advancement. Then in every contact is there the opportunity for an entity, a soul, to fulfill or meet in itself or its soul self’s association with the Creative Forces from the First Cause, to embrace that necessary for the entity to enter into the at-oneness with that Creative Force. Hence as for the entity’s fulfilling, it is ever on the road. 903-23

. . . each cycle brings a soul-entity to another crossroad, or another urge from one or several of its activities in the material plane. But these are chosen with the purpose to indicate to the entity how and why those urges are a part of the entity’s experience as a unit, or as a whole. For, one enters a material sojourn not by chance, but there is brought into being the continuity of pattern or purpose, and each soul is attracted to those influences that may be visioned from above. Thus there the turns in the river of life may be viewed.

To be sure, there are floods in the life; there are dark days and there are days of sunshine. But the soul-entity stayed in a purpose that is creative, even as this entity, may find the haven of peace as is declared in Him. 3128-1

The image of Him is within thine own self, if ye will but open thy heart, thy mind, thy conscience to the indwelling of that force, of that promise which is thine own—if ye will but embrace same.

In those abilities of thy mental and material self, then, pattern same after His manner of expressing same before His fellow man. For ye are indeed the fellow traveler with Him. 1796-1

For each entity in the earth is what it is because of what it has been! And each moment is dependent upon another moment. So a sojourn in the earth, as indicated, is as a lesson in the school of life and experience. Just as it may be illustrated in that each entity, each soul-entity, is as a corpuscle in the body of God—if such an entity has applied itself in such a manner as to be a helpful force and not a rebellious force. 2823-3
